As many Utahs, we were pleased to see it started snowing on Christmas Eve. And when we woke up, we had been covered in a lovely blanket of snow. It was a gorgeous white Christmas scene.
But back to Christmas Eve night. Soon after I got home from work (yep, I had to work Christmas Eve, but it wasn't too bad), we had a delicious Christmas feast, thanks to my parents. My mom made a delicious raspberry almond cake and my dad a perfect golden turkey.
There also may or may not have been some mashed potatoes full of cream cheese and butter...
It appeared that my dad and brother had more fun with my nephew's hulk hands than he did. All Briggs wanted to do was play with his John Deere tractor. And press the button that said "Nothing runs like a deer!" about a billion times.
My brother recorded the toy saying that and sent it to our phones the next day. Haha, it still makes me crack up.
And of course, what Christmas morning is complete with soft PJ's from the night before and a yummy breakfast of omelets and orange rolls?
Our Christmas was smaller this year in some ways, but one of the best we've had thanks to my family. They are so giving and selfless and I was so grateful to be with them for this special season.
