A week or two before Christmas, I wanted to invite some friends over for pumpkin waffles and (another) night of gingerbread house making. I had fun decorating the table for the four of us.
And then of course there was much gingerbread making. I made all the gingerbread for our houses from scratch, which is a tradition I started with Scott last year. I love the way it makes the house smell!
This year we all worked together to make a whole bunch of honey candy. It's a recipe that's been in my dad's side of the family for generations and it is exactly what it sounds like: honey, cream, and sugar. It's a yummy hard candy to suck on, and it was a great homemade gift to give to neighbors and friends.

So technically a lot of this happened before Christmas, but what can I say? I'm a procrastinator.
