Easters

I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend! We were lucky enough to be able to go visit my family in Utah. Those kind of weekends are my very favorite.

There were orange rolls, deliicous homemade dinners, lots of laughs with family, wearing a yellow skirt, playing with my adorable nephew, Briggs, and even a kitty birthday (yes, I love dressing her up, and yes, she hates it).

I also picked up Stephanie Nielson, or Nie Nie's newest book. I couldn't put it down. She is truly so inspiring. Reading that book and going to church on Sunday really inspired me to be better. Sometimes, especially in blog land, it's easy to get caught up in how fashionable our clothes are and how many people read our blogs, or what new thing we just have to have. I've thought a lot about what life is really about. I'm not really eloquent with words, nor do I have profound thoughts by any means. But I will say this: love is a very important thing in life; loving our family, loving our fellow humans (haha), and loving God. If there's anything I know, it's that my family loves me very much. And God has the most constant love of all.

So that's my new goal: to love, more. And to be thankful. For every day is a gift.

Forgive my rambling. Tell me about your weekend!

Sometimes the most profound thoughts are simple. I think that's an excellent goal, or a life-long resolution. Our weekend was great :) Spent with family!

sounds like a fun Easter was had by all. Love that last shot of the kitty. I wish I could get my pup to wear hats.

Your Easter looks like it was just wonderful! And I really want to read Stephanie Nielson's book. I have been hearing so many good things about it! And I think your goal is just wonderful! So sweet and simple! {Not necessarily easy to do...but simple. Haha} And my weekend was wonderful although sadly I was away from my husband for the weekend which is always a little sad.
